Growing up in an air force family, I had the opportunity to live in and tour France and Germany and other surrounding countries including many of their cultural sites, cathedrals and museums.
Whether with a pencil or a lump of clay I always wanted to create things from what had influenced me.
In high school while other students played sports or participated in after school activities I was in the art department painting or working with clay with my fellow band of after school art junkies. While attending college at the University of Central Oklahoma, I continued working as a commercial artist for nearly 10 years until computers became more and more prevalent in the trade.
At that point knew my future in art lat in a different direction—doing what I had always enjoyed most—designing jewelry, sculpting and painting.
With my sister we bred and raised show collies under the kennel name of Glenorka Collies. We were blessed to have won WD, WB and Best Opposite to Best of Breed at the Collie Club of America National Specialty, so it was a natural that my art would venture in the direction of dogs and animals.
I have been commissioned to create original jewelry, bronze sculptures and paintings for the past 25 years. I have also had the great honor to have been commissioned to create 10 bronze memorial trophies for the Collie Club of America.
